MP3 melodies to practice!

I recently explained to you what a “lead sheet” is and its enormous use in popular music such as Jazz, Blues or Tango. We talked about the importance of the information it provides, as well as the creative and interpretive freedom we can put into it.

Despite all these advantages, it is often difficult for a musician to practice alone. We need other musicians and we don’t always have the opportunity to play with other people. That’s why this time I want to share with you an MP3 track, in which a midi piano plays the melody of a tango, so you can practice your accompaniment. That’s right, the same way you would accompany a singer, a violinist or even another guitar!

Here you’ll find the melody of “Por Una Cabeza” (same song for which I shared with you the lead sheet recently). You will find it in 2 different speeds, to make it easier for you to practice. Give them a little time and you’ll see how good it sounds!

If you are still unsure about how to accompany with tango rhythms, or want to improve your technique or your ideas within the genre, I recommend that you take a look at our courses, in which you will find everything you need to learn to play tango like we do in Buenos Aires!

Just grab your guitar and have a lot of fun!
